HI. That's me in 1963, age eleven. Exceptional photograph taken by my grandfather Terrell, with his Kodak Retina 35mm camera. Those goggles? Yeah, that’s my best Sea Hunt imitation. I have so many fond memories of the trips we made together. From Florida to California there were always places to go and things to see. And along with a great sense of adventure and curiosity, he gave me his passion for photography.
That passion has led me to a nearly sixty-year hobby of documenting the world around me. “Go places,” he would say. “Enjoy the road and embrace each journey, and make each one amazing. Above all take photographs of your adventures from your backyard to the ends of your imagination.”
My interests are broad and varied as you’ll see here. It’s that’s legacy of curiosity, I suppose. And I am still learning after all these years, still searching for the perfect photograph. The thing is taking photographs keeps me motivated and interested in everything around me. I am like that eleven-year-old boy, looking for adventure. I am glad you’ve chosen to take the trip with me. Enjoy!
